Who do you prefer to spend the most time with? For many of us, the response is our phone rather than a person. My relationship with my phone is unbreakable. She (my iPhone) has become a standard component of my routine. She sticks with me all day; I'm always amazed at how people misplace their smartphones, but I simply cannot imagine losing mine. My keys, laptop, and even my backpack have all been misplaced, but never my phone. When she is constantly with me, how could it be any other way? I wanted to put a spotlight on my mobile day, so let us get started! Morning: "Oh my gosh, it's already 7 a.m., didn't I just sleep 5 minutes ago?" what I tell myself daily! When my alarm goes off, I instinctively go to my iPhone and after several snoozes, I finally wake up at 8 a.m. and am ready to go for a brisk jog. I return to my phone to explore Spotify once again and prepare for my one-hour workout by listening to my custom workout playlist on Spotify in the background. At this point, it is approximately 9:30 a.m., and I have arrived at my favorite part of the morning: browsing through my social media accounts, which include Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I use this time to check the news, read new postings, and just browse endlessly. It was quite a shock to find myself not using Facebook at all, given how hooked I was on it previously. However, users' attention spans are limited, and the length of Facebook videos, as well as a lack of new features, added to the app's bad user experience, prompting me to uninstall it. At 10:30 a.m. I push myself to keep my phone aside and attend a lecture and that is when I bid farewell to my phone for the morning. I am not going to lie; scrolling can be so addicting that I will do it even during a lecture. 🙊 Afternoon: After all my lectures, it's now 3 p.m., and it is time to unwind. I go over to my phone and turn on my preferred Netflix series, which I will watch for the next couple of hours. I start preparing supper at about 6 p.m., and I end up utilizing Instacart to get some groceries delivered. Why go all the way to the supermarket if you can get it delivered to your house by just utilizing the app? Evening: Every evening, I make an effort to disconnect from my phone and catch up with a few friends. However, because Canadian weather is so unpredictable, I never leave the house without checking the weather app beforehand. This allows me to pick the optimal clothing to wear for the weather. As soon as I leave the house, I open Google Maps to find the quickest route to my destination. I do, however, frequently miss the bus. Here, Google Maps has been my best friend! I open the notes app when I come home and work on my to-do lists for the next day before calling it a day with my closest buddy, my iPhone! After learning more about digital marketing and the value of micro-moments for companies when advertising their goods, I decided to keep track of the micro-moments that influenced me to use some of the apps mentioned above, as well as others.

I was recently doing some research on this topic for my class assignment, and I noticed that I had to go to the 4th or 5th page on google to land on an article that was completely about female entrepreneurs. The thought of a female entrepreneur running her own business 50 years ago would have looked audacious at best. Gender disparity has decreased dramatically in recent years, and women entrepreneurs are increasing at a rapid rate. The effect of women on business is significant, and it is likely to continue to expand. I would love to share some of the things I have learned over the years from the success of several incredible entrepreneurs. 1. Falguni Nayar: It is never too late When Falguni was 50 years old, she took a risk and started her own firm, Nykaa. "People thought I was insane," she claimed in an interview. But it definitely paid off; her firm is now valued at $13 billion and is India's first unicorn startup led by a woman. We've all had those moments when we think it's too late to start something, whether it's something as simple as learning to swim or something as complex as starting your own business, but the fact is that if we set our minds to it, we can do anything, and age is only a number! 2. Anne Malcahy: Crises are motivators On the verge of failing, Anne was handed Xerox. She was able to turn around a corporation that was over $17 billion in debt and bring it to profitability. Xerox went from a $273 million loss in 2000 to a $91 million profit in 2003 under her leadership. This clearly demonstrates that adversity serves as a motivator. Rather than dreading to get out of it, we should discover a strategy to get out of it, and that path will only teach us some of the most valuable lessons. 3. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw: It is all about confidence. "It is vital for women to understand that they are capable of achieving whatever that a male can do," Kiran said in an interview. She has always believed that self-confidence and a sense of purpose are two of the most vital qualities that women must possess to achieve whatever goals they set for themselves. After all, why should anybody else believe us if we do not believe in ourselves and what we want to accomplish? 4. Indra Nooyi: Set your priorities Most of us are striving to strike a work-life balance. I've even heard some individuals say that work-life balance is a myth throughout the years. However, during Indra’s final interview as CEO of PepsiCo, she stated something that resonated with me - "You are left with your family, friends, and religion no matter how much money you gain." This emphasizes the importance of determining your priorities and working for them. She's constantly named among the top 100 most powerful women in the world, and if she can achieve it, so can we! 5. Safra Catz: Don't shy away from asking questions Safra once stated "You have to ask if you want to get something. The only way that you can be certain that the answer is ‘no’ and getting a negative outcome is by not asking.” Many times, when something has been expressed authoritatively, we are hesitant to ask questions and discover the reason behind the no. This just stifles our growth; by asking questions, we may arrive at better answers and see incredible learning. I hope you learned something new from the information I shared about these businesswomen who started at the bottom and worked their way up. These remarkable people have shown us what is possible when we learn from them. Let us take these excellent teachings and use them on our journeys to achieve tremendous heights! From selling a video game for $500 at the age of 12 to launching The Boring Company, NeuraLink, OpenAI, SpaceX and Tesla Elon Musk has not only had a tremendous influence throughout the world, but he has also landed on Mars! Even though he's built many multibillion-dollar businesses doesn't mean he wasn't once like the rest of us. This incredible man was simply a regular kid from South Africa who built his own rockets, programmed his own video games, and struggled at school and at home. Becoming the first person to be worth more than $300 billion to adding $121 billion to his fortune in 2021 the milestones he has achieved may seem unattainable to many. There's a lot to learn from his extraordinary adventure. Here are 5 key takeaways from his experience for you to imbibe into your venture journey. 1. Be Persistent Elon Musk has been persistent throughout his career, claiming in several interviews that he "doesn't grasp the word no." It may appear insensitive or harsh on a personal level, but when it comes to attaining your commercial objectives, perseverance pays dividends. "Persistence is especially important. You should not give up unless you are forced to give up." 2. Leverage your knowledge Elon Musk has long preached that your degree does not determine your ability. He is so confident in it that he has vowed to recruit 10,000 students without a college diploma at Tesla. This communicates the message that it's not about getting the best grades, but about applying what you've learned in the classroom to real-life situations. "When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favor." 3. Consider your options and THINK BIG Elon Musk has had a long-term impact on the industry through all his ventures. Every business initiative he embarks on begins with the goal of making an impression on the market. He built PayPal, which revolutionized the banking industry, with Space X, he is working to make commercial space flight a reality and are now setting a new target for the first SpaceX Starship Orbital Flight. We learn that Elon Musk thinks big, and he teaches us how to accomplish the same through his escapades. “I don’t think it’s a good idea to plan to sell a company.” 4. Be open to constructive criticism Many people prefer praise over criticism since criticism tells us what's wrong with us or what we're doing. However, it also motivates us to improve by pointing out our weaknesses, providing us with a fresh viewpoint, and revealing topics we may have neglected or never considered. Elon Musk has also been receptive to criticism, to the point that, while developing the Tesla electric car, he sought out automotive experts to tell him what was wrong with his design rather than what was right. "I think it's very important to have a feedback loop, where you're constantly thinking about what you've done and how you could be doing it better" 5. It's ok to fail Everyone is terrified of failing. Some people have such a negative reaction to failure that they never recover. Others, on the other hand, utilize it as a means of learning. Tesla was on the verge of bankruptcy in 2008 owing to a lack of funds. Musk opted to utilize his personal wealth to keep the firm afloat, and we all know where Tesla stands today.
